Melanie’s Birthday Wish

Melanie’s birthday wish came true when she attended a special performance at the Bedford Corn Exchange.

Excitement filled the air as Melanie eagerly anticipated Michael Jackson to grace the stage. As the lights dimmed and the music began, Melanie couldn’t contain her enthusiasm.

“While it wasn’t the King of Pop himself, what unfolded was something equally magical. Local talent took the stage, paying tribute to Michael Jackson with stunning performances that captured the essence of his music and dance moves.”

Sounds like a wonderful evening Melanie!

Bedford Bakes for St. George’s Day

Folks in Bedford got out their rolling pins and aprons to bake up a storm for Saint George’s Day!

Everyone had a great time making two Victoria sponges and some chocolate brownies, decorating the sponges with buttercream, jam and sprinkles.

The Bedford services came together to celebrate, and two people even came from Northamptonshire! Looks like there was enough cake to go around, great job everyone.

James Becomes an Oliver McGowan Co-Trainer

James in Northamptonshire has become an official co-trainer for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training!

The training, which is required for all health and social care professionals, educates staff about the skills and knowledge needed to support people with a learning disability and autism. The course is co-delivered by experts by experience, and James was recently shortlisted for an interview after sending a short video clip to the trainers.

James did an amazing job in his interview, asking forward thinking and intelligent questions. On the same day, they let him know that he was successful and landed a paid position three days a week! Congratulations James, what a fantastic achievement delivering such important training to staff across the country.

“James is looking forward to starting his training,” said support worker David.
