Creative Support is a non-profit provider of personalised care and support to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions, and older people. We are recruiting a Support Coordinator for our South Tyneside Learning Disability Service.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner to work with people with learning disabilities in South Tyneside. Your role will include:

  • Providing practical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities
  • Promoting the independence of service users by working in a person-centred way
  • Collaborating with service users, families, and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service that meets the needs of service users
  • Supporting and supervising staff and deploying staff resources effectively to meet the needs of the service

 

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities is essential for this role. Managerial experience is desirable but not essential. Possession of a clean driving license and a car is desirable.

 

You will be expected to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays.
