Litter Picking for the Local Community
Service users and staff in Doncaster had a day out litter picking around Stainforth, filling an amazing five bags full of rubbish!
“Some of our service users were amazed to see the amount of rubbish which is abandoned on the roads and walkways,” said staff.
“It gave us a real insight into how much difference a simple day of litter picking can make. We thoroughly enjoyed our time out in the fresh air and sunshine!”
Thank you to Rebecca, Kerry, Leah, Tina, Trinity and Paula for taking part and helping to make Doncaster greener and cleaner.

Residents Enjoy Tour of Tower Hamlets Woodland Reserve
Residents in London had a wonderful and informative tour from Ken, the manager of Cemetery Park, which is Tower Hamlets’ only woodland nature reserve!
Everyone enjoyed listening to the birds and visiting the resting place of Hercules Linton, who built the Cutty Sark.
A few weeks later, Ken visited the service to give a historical talk. The residents learned so much about local history, plant life and the creatures that live in Cemetery Park.
“These events mark the first of many future collaborations with the Friends of Cemetery Park organisation!” said Jess, Senior Development Officer.
