Sonia Spends Five Splendid Days in Skegness

Sonia in Doncaster spent 5 days at the Golden Palm Resort in Skegness and had a holiday she’ll never forget!

During their stay, Sonia and her support worker Karen took a stroll along the sea front and treated themselves to ice cream and donuts.

They also visited Ingoldmells, a little village along the coast with the spectacular Fantasy Island theme park. The weather meant they couldn’t go on rides, but they enjoyed some more ice cream to make up for it!

Back at the resort in the evenings, there were magic shows and tribute bands, and Sonia danced the nights away.

“I had a brilliant time – there was plenty to do, eat and drink. We visited many different places,” said Sonia.

We hope you had the holiday you dreamed of, Sonia!

Clive Creates Superhero Art at Yorkshire Exhibition

Clive in Doncaster had an great day creating art based on his personal qualities at the NHS South Yorkshire Art Exhibition! The event raised money for Learning Disability Week and was an opportunity to celebrate what people with learning disabilities bring to our communities. Clive made some fabulous drawings surrounded by words that represented him. He coloured in a superhero and free-sketched his house. Afterwards, he dressed up as a superhero!

Clive said: “I was very excited to go to the event. I met new people at the NHS and they were very lovely. I had unlimited art materials and drawing paper and was able to express myself using pictures and painted based on the colours I liked. It was an opportunity to socialise with good people and I believe I can draw again now after a very long time.”

We hope you had a wonderful time and felt proud of yourself, Clive!
