Ashton Raises Funds in Memory of Colleague
One of our services in Dudley held their own food festival last week! Staff and tenants from other services also attended and all had a fabulous day.
Staff home-cooked all the delicious dishes, ranging from Jamaican patties, different types of rice, sandwiches, trifle, samosas, melon soup, jlebi, chicken, semolina buns, chips, tropical fruit salad, sausages and chips! Wow!
“The event was to promote acceptance and inclusion amongst staff and service users, open cultures and to experience others’ cultures and cuisine,” said Aimee, Senior Support Worker.
What a wonderful event, hats off to the chefs!
Vicky and Martin at Pride
Vicky and Martin have been together for 10 years, and both live together in their service. Over the weekend they went to Leeds Pride, and they travel to as many Pride celebrations as they can fit in a year!
“We attend Pride each year as a couple in support of all our friends in the LGBTQ+ community,” they said. You guys look fabulous!
