Alcester’s Marvellous Mop Fair

George, Mary, John, Heather and CB in Alcester all had a great time at their local Mop Fair!

The event has a traditional procession through the town, as well as plenty of funfair rides and amusements to keep everyone entertained.

“Heather, George and CB all went on the rides with staff James, and we all enjoyed a hotdog or burger at the end!” said Emma.

Creative Together ‘Owt on Stage’

Last Thursday, Creative Together held their first ever ‘Owt on Stage’ event, an inclusive and safe space for people to perform with passion. Attendees had the opportunity to perform at the iconic Band on the Wall, a historic live music venue in the Northern Quarter.

The event was held with Key Changes, who provide positive mental health support through music. From 1-3pm, we saw ten acts take to the stage for a variety of music, poetry and spoken word to inspire and entertain us.

“It’s the buzz from being able to express yourself through your music, and fight your battles,” said Psychosis 0161, a local rapper who works with Key Changes.

“I always look forward to performing to share what we’re going through, especially when going through mental health. It’s a safe place to come and express yourself,” said Mc Shallar, who treated us to some rhythmically smooth and catchy “spoken word to beats.”

Thank you to everyone who performed, who came to be a supporter, and those who did both. It was a great first event and we hope to see you at the next very soon.

Stu’s Cruise Adventure

Stu in Leicestershire recently went on his first ever cruise!

Stu, his mum and his stepdad had a fantastic time on the four nights all-inclusive cruise to Belgium, and Stu enjoyed the luxuries of his own cabin. Check out the size of that enormous ship!

“We had a great time and it was fantastic weather,” said Stu.

How wonderful, we’re very jealous!
