Take Part in Our Creative Mission Competition!

As you might have noticed in our latest Annual Report, our new Mission and Purpose statement is ready for action!

A mission and purpose statement outlines what a company wants to achieve, so you can imagine it’s very important to us to set out how we want to achieve our goals. Our Mission and Purpose Statement sets out nine sentences that we, as Creative Support, aim to help the people we support to achieve. You can view our full new Mission and Purpose statement here.

To celebrate the launch of our new Mission and Purpose statement, we are asking the people we support and our staff for creative writing and artwork that represents how Creative Support inspires you to say one of these nine sentences:

I live my best life in a place I call home

I feel listened to, respected and valued

I enjoy choices and rights and have control over my life

I am supported to feel safe

I am doing the things that matter to me

I enjoy relationships with others

I am connected to my community

I am supported with my wellbeing

I feel able to reach my full potential

There will be nine winners, one for each sentence, who will each win £100 in shopping vouchers!

Your piece can be written, spoken or presented in a format that is meaningful to you. It can be about your own lived experience, or it can simply represent your feelings about the sentence you have chosen.

We would anticipate that written pieces should be no more than 500 words or 20 lines of poetry. If you’re writing your piece, you can use your own words, and you can include quotes from other works if you wish, but please let us know the names of the works you have quoted from when you submit your piece. We ask for all artwork to be original and not copied from elsewhere. We also ask that entries do not use AI.

Please note that to be eligible for the competition your work may be shared on our social media, and edited by the Communications Team. By entering into the competition, you consent to the Marketing and Communications Team obtaining and processing your data in order to contact you about your entry.
