Creative Stars – January Winners!
Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!
Our service user awards celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.
Congratulations to this month’s round of winners:
High Flyer Award
Dawn Clarke, Tameside
Determined Dawn in Tameside has shown great strength and determination over the past year when it comes to her mobility. After experiencing falls and struggling to walk, Dawn wanted to push herself to get stronger and lessen her use of mobility aids.
Armed with a new armchair and wheelchair accessible vehicle, Dawn worked incredibly hard to improve her core strength and get out and about without worry.
Thanks to all of her hard work, Dawn can now stand for much longer periods of time and has not had a fall in a whole year- what an achievement!
We hope you’re so proud of yourself Dawn, your staff team certainly are!

Eco-friendly Award
Samuel Hotchkiss, St Helens
Recycling champion Sam in St Helens in the service’s very own superhero! Sam loves recycling and helps empty all of the bins at his service for his fellow tenants.
He has even been known to recycle rubbish he has found in the community too. Sam has his own theme tune which staff sing as he goes around the service to take out the rubbish- the sign of a true champion.
Everyone is so grateful for Sam’s amazing efforts at keeping the service clean and eco-friendly, and staff have noted how the role has helped him settle into the service and lessen any anxiety around his move-in.

Positivity Award
Stephen, St Helens
Some people radiate joy and happiness in their everyday lives, and Stephen is a clear example.
Always happy to chat, Stephen is a huge source of light for everyone at the service and can always bring a smile to people’s faces. He is also known for lighting up every room with a smile, which everyone really appreciates.
To show how much everyone adores Stephen, staff and people we support at the service arranged a surprise 70th birthday party!
Stephen, you are a ray of pure sunshine.
