Creative Support Celebrates Made in Manchester Award Success

Creative Support’s Internal Audits Team has been awarded ‘Team of the Year’ at this year’s Made in Manchester Awards.

The prestigious Made in Manchester Awards celebrates exceptional young professionals in Greater Manchester, with all entrants aged 35 and under. The Team of the Year award was designed for businesses that can demonstrate and show real life examples of how teamwork has led to their success. The Internal Audits team was selected from an eight-strong shortlist of teams from companies around Greater Manchester.

The Internal Audits team, comprising of Hazel Beddows, Melissa Jones, Abigail Lord and Kit Nordhausen-Smolarz, manages financial and operational risks at Creative Support. The team’s nomination highlighted significant projects the team had worked on over the past 12 months, and how the team reflected Creative Support’s ‘We Care’ values of ‘Welcoming, Empowering, Compassionate, Aspirational, Respectful and Effective’.

Hazel Beddows, Internal Audits Team Lead, said:

“I am so proud of the unit that we have built as a team and everything that my colleagues have achieved, so winning this award was really exciting!  To quote the judges, our team is ‘small but mighty.’”

The MIMAs also featured two other Creative Support finalists, staff members Megan Mitchell and Sarah Smith, who both received a nomination for the ‘Business Support Professional of the Year’ category.
