Christmas Narnia-Themed Mural

We try to cover our walls with all the amazing art that we produce, but there was one wall that we thought needed to stay white and plain due to a projector. When we were chatting about a theme for our Christmas party, we talked about how we had enjoyed creating our dragon mural which was painted freehand onto large boards, so it could be moved to other services or head office. Someone pointed out that the projector was never used and the room fell silent as we stared at the white, boring, wall. Oh dear – look what we’ve done…

BE FREE NOT AFRAID Festival T-shirts

A festival is not a festival without its own T-shirts and we have experimented with designs over the last couple of years. The festival will change to a cultural festival next year and so will encompass art, theatre, movement, dance, spoken word and music!

We asked our members to come up with designs and these were digitised and printed onto good quality black t-shirts. They are for sale for £20 or £18 for members of the centre. They are so cool!

The Dragon Wall Mural

Prolific artist and centre member IB spent three weeks creating an incredible dragon mural with the help of members Chris and Brendan for the back drop of this year’s music festival. Everyone including the Board of Trustees have had their photo taken in front of the mural.

“It’s been really good seeing it all come together, and there was a lot of hard work done by everyone,” said IB.
