Finding Fitness
Following our Sporty Summer, September is all about Finding Fitness! Fitness doesn’t just have to be sport, there are many ways to keep your body active in a way that works for you.
You don’t need to join a gym or own any fancy equipment to exercise – just moving your body can keep your heart healthy and lower your stress levels.
Not sure where to start?
If you’re not used to exercising regularly, start slow. You can warm up with ten minute sessions and build these up each week as you feel comfortable. Here’s some ideas to ease you in:
- Chair exercises
- Online workouts (eg YouTube)
- Swimming or water aerobics
- Dancing / Zumba
- Yoga
Know your Blood Pressure
Knowing your blood pressure numbers can help you take steps to look after your overall health. A pharmacist can check your blood pressure for free, and let you know if you need a follow-up appointment.
Plan your Fitness
Check out our Journal to use the Fitness Planner to keep track of your goals and progress. You can do this at any time of the year, and take note of what you’d like to do next or change up!
