The flexible shift pattern includes evenings, weekends and waking nights.

We are looking for caring, reliable and flexible Relief Care Workers to build on our team of experienced support staff providing care to older adults living either in Extra Care Housing. The services are all based within 3 miles of each other and cover with full public transport access. The Three services are:

• The Laurels Care Home is an award winning, small residential care home based in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.
Heysham Garden (Extra Care Housing Scheme) is based off the Brookside area of Carlisle.
Burnside Court (Extra Care Hosing Service) is based in the Stanwix Area of Carlisle

Our Carlisle service focuses on promoting independence, maintaining dignity, encouraging inclusion and supporting general health and wellbeing in a positive manner. You must be a warm, caring and trustworthy individual who is committed to the welfare of others.

Relief Support Worker Duties:
• Providing support on an emotional and practical level with personal care needs, household tasks, medication, diet and nutrition and healthy living
• Encouraging residents to engage with social activities both within and outside the home
• Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users
• Carry out general administrative duties and housing management tasks

Due to the range and abilities of our residents you will need a minimum of twelve months prior experience of supporting older adults with dementia. Our Carlisle service is on a main public transport route and is easily accessible.

As a Creative Support Bank Staff member you will have access to our free app which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country and provides information on the service and shifts, including directions. You will be paid weekly.
