We are seeking warm, caring individuals to provide personalised night care and support at our extra care services, Fitzwilliam Court and Westmeads, located in Hoyland and Royston, Barnsley. These roles enable older people to maintain their wellbeing and enjoy active, independent lifestyles. We offer 2, 3, or 4 nights per week, with opportunities for additional flexible hours.

In this role, you will provide respectful, dignified personal care and emotional support tailored to individual needs. Your responsibilities include preparing meals and refreshments, supporting nutrition and hydration, assisting with household and daily living tasks to maintain independence, supporting medication administration, and enabling participation in activities and social relationships. You will also support residents in maximizing their health, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life, responding to changing needs and emergencies to ensure safety. Collaboration with families, health professionals, and housing officers is crucial to provide a coordinated service that meets desired outcomes.

Experience in care and support is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided. You must be compassionate, respectful, reliable, and accountable, with a strong duty of care. A reasonable standard of verbal and written English is necessary to contribute effectively to recording systems. You must be vigilant and responsive to emergencies and urgent needs, and capable of handling the physical demands of the role, including supporting people with moving and positioning.
